According to a survey about smart city development, 54 percent of respondents stated that they expect less traffic congestion as a benefit of smart city development, followed by 53 percent of respondents that expect economic growth. Most of the Shanghai residents expect cleaner air and water, while Hong Kong residents think of less wasted resources as a benefit.
