Share of people thinking no woman chooses to wear a burqa Netherlands 2019, by party
As of 2019, the share of PVV voters in the Netherlands who thought that women do not choose to wear burqas was higher than the share of other voters who held this opinion. Close to 80 percent of PVV voters surveyed in August 2019 indicated that they thought no woman voluntarily wears a burqa. Meanwhile, the number of GroenLinks voters who thought women who wear burqas do so against their will was well below average, at ten percent.
