Trust in social media companies to ensure factual content in crises 2019, by country
Ipsos survey conducted a month later, 49 percent of the respondents stated that they did not trust social media companies to ensure the factuality of information shared on their platforms in times of crisis. Especially internet users in Great Britain were wary of the accuracy of content on social media during an emergency - only 28 percent of respondents stated that they trusted the social media info to be factual in a critical situation.
