Antiretroviral therapy among HIV-positive pregnant women had been slowly increasing in Latin America and the Caribbean in the last years. In 2017, 73 percent of the pregnant women in the region who suffered from HIV were receiving this kind of therapy, up from 66 percent in 2012.
