In a survey conducted in 2020 within the Asia-Pacific region, 52 percent of the surveyed small businesses in India stated that investing in technology significantly made their businesses more profitable. Comparatively, over 1.7 percent of the surveyed small businesses in New Zealand stated that investing in technology made their businesses significantly more profitable in 2020.

The online survey was conducted among 4,227 small businesses from Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, and Vietnam with a random sample of small business owners and managers.
