In 2019, the Call of Duty World League (CWL) was the main event followed by the avid eSports fans in Italy. As stated by the survey, people following the CWL accounted for 45 percent of total respondents. The Italian Esports Open and FIFA Global Series also were very popular among avid fans in Italy. In fact, slightly more than 30 percent of total respondents claimed to follow both these events.
