Number of U.S. female cancer survivors as of 2022, by age
As of January 1, 2022 there were almost 2.6 million women in the U.S. aged 70 to 79 years old who had been diagnosed with cancer and had survived. Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer among women in the U.S., however, cancer of the lung and bronchus accounts for the most cancer-related deaths among women.
