ESports avid fans are people that follow eSports events daily. According to a 2020 survey, the highest share of avid fans in Italy came from the South, and the Islands (Sicily, Sardinia). Overall, 35 percent of Italian avid fans that took part in the survey came from this macro-region. Moreover, 29 percent of fans came from the North-West as of 2020.
