In 2023, around 38 percent of German campers, i.e. people who preferred to go camping for their vacation, were of the opinion that material prosperity was important for them. The Allensbach Market and Advertising Media Analysis (Allensbacher Markt- und Werbeträgeranalyse or AWA in German) determines attitudes, consumer habits and media usage of the population in Germany on a broad statistical basis.

The survey is based on the German-speaking population aged 14 years and older with their main residence in the Federal Republic of Germany.

2023: 23,524 respondents, representing 70.08 million people
Information on the target group: "Preferred type of vacation trip: camping."
2023: 4,602 respondents, projected to 12.83 million people
