Most suitable tenure for current lifestyle in the U.S. 2019, by ownership status
In April 2019, 73 percent of renters who had never owned a home before said that renting was a better fit for their current lifestyle, whereas 78 percent of renters who had previously owned their home said the same. The number of owner occupied homes in the United States has been steadily climbing since 2005.
