GDP per person fell by around 0.7 percent in 2023, after growing by 3.2 percent in 2022. In 2020 gross domestic product per capita shrank by a record 10.7 percent in the United Kingdom, before growing by 8.8 percent in 2021.Prior to 2021, the highest year-on-year increase was recorded in 1973 when GDP per capita grew by 6.3 percent.
