In 2019, approximately 603 men and 362 women per 100,000 population the United Kingdom suffered from liver cirrhosis or another chronic liver disease due to alcohol use. The prevalence was significantly higher among males across the provided time interval, although both genders have in general experienced an increase in alcohol related cirrhosis since the year 2000.
