In 2018, The Hague housed 74 hotels in total. The majority of hotel accommodations were in Scheveningen and the center of the city. Scheveningen, one of the eight districts of the Hague, is known for its long sandy beach. This area registered roughly 40 hotels, whereas the center of The Hague counted 30 hotels. Furthermore, the average price per night of hotels in The Hague increased over time. In 2018 a hotel night notably amounted to an average of 99 euros.

The Hague, a popular destination for German tourists

As of 2018, most of the overnight tourists were German, British or Belgian. Approximately 35 percent of the visitors staying in accommodations in The Hague came from Germany, whereas 11 and 10 percent of the tourists were from the United Kingdom and Belgium. In addition, roughly 10 percent originated from America, while nine percent of the visitors came from the Asian continent.

Uithof, an indoor leisure center in the Hague, welcomed just over 1.5 million visitors in 2018, thus making it the most visited attraction in the Hague. On the other hand, Madurodam, a miniature park in Scheveningen, attracted roughly 700 thousand people, whereas Holland Casino registered 535 thousand visitors.
