From 2013 to 2017, annual values of bets placed, wins gained and players' losses from online skilled-based games increased overall. At first, these figures fluctuated from 2013 to 2015. However, these values started to rise considerably from 2016 and eventually peaked during the following year. Specifically, in 2017 remote skilled-based games players placed bets for a value of about 19.7 billion euros and won roughly 19 billion euros. That generated a player' losses of 0.72 billion euros.
