In the Euro Area, the monthly change was over 40 percent in August 2022, but has been negative since mid-2023. Meanwhile, China had a negative index rate of 2.8 percent in September 2024, struggling with producer price deflation through 2023.
The Producer Price Index (PPI) measures the average change over time in the selling prices received by domestic producers for their output.
