The prevalence of undernourishment in Suriname is based on the habitual food intake that is insufficient to maintain an active and healthy life in their total population, and it was estimated at 10.7 percent between 2016 and 2018. The South American country has shown signs of improvement compared to the previous period, when the prevalence of undernourishment stood at 10.9 percent.
