In 2023, the number of organ transplants, including kidney, heart, lung, liver, pancreas, and small bowel, carried out in Panama amounted to 41 interventions, down from 46 transplants reported a year prior. Over the period depicted, the highest number of transplants performed in the Central American country reached 70 procedures in 2011, roughly 62 transplants more than those registered in 2021.
