Centers for organ transplants in Latin America 2022, by organ
In 2022, there were a total of 604 health institutions that performed kidney transplants in Latin America. Medical centers for liver transplants amounted to 251 institutions, while only 21 medical centers in the region specialized in small bowel transplants. That year, Latin America completed over 15,000 organ transplants, including kidney, heart, lung, liver, pancreas, and small bowel procedures.
