Approximately 16.1 of the population in the Caribbean was estimated to have an insufficient habitual food intake in 2020. Although the prevalence of undernourishment in the subregion declined between 2005 and 2015, this 16.1 share represents an increase in comparison to the previous year. Overall, that year, the undernourishment share of the population in Latin America and the Caribbean was estimated at 9.1 percent.
