In 2022, the share of ride-hailing services accounted for about 40.5 percent of total taxi transport volume in China, representing a significant increase compared to the previous year. Thanks to the cheaper price offered by the operators, the popularity of ride-hailing services in China surged in the last decade, despite tighter market regulations in many regions.
