Steel exports from Singapore 2017-2018
A volume of more than 744 thousand metric tons of steel was estimated to be exported from Singapore in the first half of 2018. Since the production volume of steel only amounted to around 298 thousand metric tons,it can be assumed that most of the steel exported from Singapore was first imported to be processed. In general, the domestic steel demand in Singapore has been unstable over the past few years, due to uncertainties in the construction market.
