According to a survey conducted in early 2019, the vast majority of respondents in Taiwan either had no opinion or agreed to the notion of government respecting the 2018 referendum results and regarding the nuclear power as a back-up supply of electricity. Only three percent of the respondents strongly disagreed with the idea.
