In 2019, approximately 4.5 million metric tons of steel were sold by Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional (CSN), out of which 1.39 million tons were galvanized steel.

CSN, headquartered in São Paulo, Brazil, is the country's second largest steel manufacturer, and also operates in the segments of mining, cement, logistics and energy. In 2019, the metallurgy segment generated over 50 percent of the company's net revenue.
