According to the results of a survey on Singaporean shoppers between April and May 2019, 61 percent of respondents stated that they would leave a physical store without completing the purchase if the physical store is too crowded. Having a comfortable atmosphere to shop when in a physical store was very important for Singaporean respondents to complete a purchase, with other reasons given for abandoning a physical store being if the store is too messy (46 percent of respondents), the store is too hot/cold (32 percent of respondents), and that the store is too noisy (32 percent).
