According to the data provided by Prometeia, the main supplier of such metal items was Western Europe, holding 59.5 percent of total import value as of 2018. However, between 2013 and 2018, the import value from West European countries experienced a slight decrease, as its percentage amounted to 63.2 in 2013. Imports from Asia were worth 19.6 percent of the worldwide value, followed by cutlery, locks and tools manufactured in the new European countries, which made up 14.9 percent of share.
