Organ donors in Colombia 2008-2022
In 2022, the number of effective organ donors in Colombia added up to 332 people. This represents an increase of around 24 percent in comparison to the previous year, when the number of donors amounted to 268. However, this figure is still lower than before the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, when 417 effective organ donors were reported for 2019. By the end of the period analyzed, a total of 1,210 organ transplants were carried out in the South American country.
