Consumer opinions on traditional and neobanks in Austria 2022
Better customer service and being advised by professionals are the two most appealing features of traditional banks over online banks in Austria. This according to a survey carried out in April 2022, b Four out of 10 respondents said that they would use an online bank but worry about how to deposit cash into it, and the same number of respondents agreed that they would use online banks, but they do not fully trust them with their personal data. With traditional banks closing, however, more than half of the respondents would consider switching to an online bank.
