In 2019, Manchester City was the team with the highest average player value which amounted to 49.3 million euros. FC Barcelona held the second position with an average player value of 48.3 million euros. Manchester City plays in the English Premier League which is the most successful of the 'Big Five' football leagues in Europe.
Revenues
The top five football leagues in Europe consist of the English Premier League, the Spanish La Liga, the German Bundesliga, the Italian Serie A and the French Ligue 1. Combined they generate a revenue of approximately 18 billion euros of which the Premier League accounts for roughly six billion. The average revenue for a single club comes to 267 million euros in England, followed by 150 million euros in Germany.
Brand Values
The highest brand value among football leagues is that of Englands Premier League, standing at roughly 8.7 billion euros as of 2019. Within the Premier League Manchester United has the highest brand value among the teams with 1.65 billion in U.S. dollars. However it is worth mentioning that this is a decrease from the previous season and that Manchester City as well as Liverpool have significantly increased in Value in the last seasons.
