In 2018, Western Europe accounted for 61.5 percent of the total value of hardware components and other metal products exported from Italy. According to the data provided by Prometeia, the share of Italian exports addressed to Western Europe slightly decreased compared to 2013, when it was equal to 61.9 percent. On the other hand, the share of exports addressed to new EU member states increased from 13.6 percent in 2013 to 15.1 percent in 2018.
