As of May 2023, there were over 12.2 million Instagram users in Nigeria, accounting for just over five percent of the country's population. Overall, 55.6 percent of users were men, while female users accounted for 44.4 percent. Instagram's largest user base in terms of age was with users aged between 25 and 34 years, making up almost 37 percent of the social media platform's audience in Nigeria.
