The breakdown of Italian exports of cocoa, chocolate and sugar confectionery by macro-region shows that Western Europe represented the main destination market. According to data provided by Prometeia, in 2018, the value of exports of such products to Western European countries reached 1,147 million euros. Apart from the European macro-region, the exports to Asian countries amounted to 170 million euros.
