The majority of Russians considered banning smartphone and similar non-educational devices in schools as a sound measure, with approximately 70 percent of the respondents partially or fully supporting the idea. On the other hand, 15 percent of the survey participants totally opposed the proposal.
Public opinion on the ban on usage of mobile phones and smartphones by schoolchildren in Russian classrooms from 2018 to 2019
The respondents had to answer the following question: "The idea of ​​banning schoolchildren in school classrooms from using mobile phones, smartphones, and other non-educational electronic devices is being discussed. How do you feel about this idea?" The respondents had to choose only one option.
