According to the survey conducted by Rakuten Insight on January 2024, about 84 percent of the Thai respondents stated that they preferred an electric car over a conventional one because it is affordable to power in the long run.

The survey was conducted between January 19 to 31, 2024 among a total of 15,528 Thai respondents aged 16 years and older. Other surveyed countries include China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Vietnam.
