Growing environmental concerns and rising pollution levels were likely to support the growth of the electric car market in India. Around 24 percent of the respondents of a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight across the country in 2024 stated that they are willing to pay 11 to 30 percent more than a conventional car to purchase an electric one.
