Around 78 percent of the respondents across India stated that they prefer an electric car over a conventional car as it is more environmentally friendly in a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in 2024. Another 56 percent of the respondents stated that their preference for an electric car is because of the affordability to power it in the long run.
