Online news consumption has been growing at pace with the traditional media in India. In fact, legacy media brands that use traditional media are just as popular in the online sphere. When respondents were asked about which online brands they used to access news in a survey conducted in 2024, 27 percent said they used NDTV, while India.com and BBC News came second.
