Shenzhen was one of China's first Special Economic Zones and today, it is still one of the most economically active cities in China. The Shenzhen Stock Exchange is the second stock exchange in mainland China after Shanghai. During 2022, about 23.8 million accounts were newly opened at Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
