The sales value of industrial robotics is set to increase in the coming years, with estimates seeing market revenues for Europe climbing to 3.29 billion U.S. dollars by 2021.
Industrial robots are used in industrial environments for manufacturing purposes. The largest application areas thereof are electronics and automotive, together covering more than 60 percent of the industrial robotics market.
In industrial robotics, hardware and software are often sold separately, with an increasing tendency to be sold together in the future. The current market therefore does not include the cost of software, peripherals, and systems engineering.
