Structure of Russian exports to Iran in 2018, by category

In 2018, foodstuffs were the largest export category, occupying 66 percent of the total Russian exports to Iran. The share of wood and paper products was measured at 14 percent. In May 2018, the Interim Agreement providing for a free trade area between Iran and the Russian-founded Eurasian Economic Union was signed, expected to enhance the external trade between the two countries.
