The most popular outdoor activity in Wales is walking. In 2019, approximately 78 percent of the female and 76 percent of the male respondents in a nationally representative survey advised that they went walking as an outdoors activity at least once in the past four weeks. Second in popularity was visiting children's playground with 27 percent of women and 23 percent of men participating in the activity once monthly.
