In 2019, the value of wine imported from western Europe into Italy amounted to 329 million euros. According to the data provided by Prometeia, Western Europe was the main supplier of wine for Italy. On the other hand, the value of wine imported from other regions was by far lower. For instance, the value of the import from the second-largest supplying region, the new EU countries, amounted to six million euros.
