Quarterly operating income of Viaplay 2019-2024
In the second quarter of 2024, the operating income of Viaplay Group amounted to roughly seven million Swedish kronor. This marks a considerable increase in the loss of over 2.8 billion kronor recorded in the same period of the previous year. As the Swedish streaming provider struggled to make profit in 2023, it cut back on non-core international operations, including the North America market, and is now focusing on core countries, like the Nordics, while distributing content through partnership platforms.
