This statistic shows the public opinion on how much a moderator's political ideology matters when moderating presidential debates on television in the United States as of July 2019. The findings reveal that the majority of U.S. respondents believed that when a moderator is participating in a presidential debate their political beliefs are of importance, and just eight percent said that this does not matter at all.
