In fiscal year 2023, Baori at Abhaneri was the most visited ASI monument by international visitors in this circle. Chittaurgarh, a district in Rajasthan, houses one of the largest forts in India. The fort is also a UNESCO world heritage site with the second highest number of foreign visitors at over seven thousand in the centrally protected monument circles of Jaipur and Jodhpur. Chittor fort or Chitrakuta was said to have been built by king Chitranga. Through history, the monument was captured by the Guhilas, the Delhi Sultanate and later by Mughal emperor Akbar until the rule of the British.
