Consumer opinions on traditional and neobanks in Peru 2022
According to a survey carried out in April 2022, the most common reason for not using an online bank in Peru is not knowing how to deposit cash into it. Six out of ten respondents also agreed that traditional banks offer better customer service. Mistrust over how online banks would use their personal data is another common reason for not using online banks. Despite these consumer opinions, with traditional banks closing, more than six out of 10 respondents would consider switching to an online bank in Peru.
