Among the observed European countries, the United Kingdom (UK) held the highest value of assets at financial institutions, with a value of approximately 33.4 trillion U.S. dollars in 2022. That year, the majority of the United Kingdom's financial corporation assets were held by banks and other financial intermediaries (OFIs).
