Total financial assets in Turkey 2002-2022
The value of total assets for financial corporations in Turkey increased consistently from 2002 to 2020. Total assets of financial corporations in Turkey have increased from 12.5 billion U.S. dollars (USD) in 2002 to approximately 1.09 trillion U.S. dollars as of 2020. In 2022, this value amounted to 1.05 trillion U.S. dollars.
Financial corporations consist of resident corporations that engage in most part in financial intermediation or other activities that are closely related to financial intermediation. Financial corporations include a country's central bank, banks, insurance corporations, pension funds, public financial institutions, other financial intermediaries (OFI's) and financial auxiliaries.
