The value of assets held by the central bank in Germany increased overall between 2002 and 2022, despite some fluctuations. The total assets of Germany's central bank have increased from 263.2 billion U.S. dollars in 2002 to over 3.23 trillion U.S. dollars in 2021. In 2022, however, central bank assets dropped notably, to 2.96 trillion U.S. dollars.
