Public opinion on paying student athletes in the U.S. 2023, by ethnicity
Currently in the United States, college athletes are not paid for their sport performance. During a survey in the United States in 2023, around 40 percent of black respondents stated that they believed student athletes should be paid for their sport, while 28 percent of Hispanic respondents agreed.
