This statistic shows the share of homeowners who had selected regrets about their home purchase in the United States in 2019. In 2019, the biggest regret homeowners had about their home purchase were unexpected maintenance or repairs which was mentioned by 36 percent of respondents, but only eight percent said that they regretted buying instead of renting a home.
